I think it's near Sagus Lake in the old, Fraser Lake burn area...

Kind of looks like the Bushwhack Lake portage.

Arctic could be right on Fraser-Sagus, but I'm thinking Roe-Cap

we are heading westish on this portage. relatively flat and grassy, but the grass covers the ankle turning rocks, wolf poop prevalent despite the area being known for bears

That would be my vote. I was trying to think of that lake too.

standing on that pretty beach, after that ankle busting portage, we look across to our next portage. as you can see, it's a short paddle.

Not Gotter is it. I don’t remember that being a beach as you’d go off to the right then. And it looked like the same vegetation but I thought it was hillier. But it was as I remember rather rocky or something.
