Not your typical quarry on a fly rod! I like it!
I have done well on Crocodile with a fly rod. It is relatively shallow and there are so many walleyes in there, that the odds that one hits your fly are pretty high.
I did well with yellow/white clouser minnows, but if I go back I think I will try adding a stinger hook. I got a lot of short strikes.

The only walleye I have ever caught on a fly was while practice casting at a nearby home lake in the spring from shore after I bought my 8-wt rod. Had ordered some smallmouth flies as I got the rod just to target smallmouth in the BWCA. Was very, very surprised to hook into a small-ish walleye. Had on a yellow Holschlag Hare, which was chosen only because it was easier to see for practice casting over the water.

Needless to say, I like that fly...

You can catch walleyes on the fly in June. I have caught them topwater trolling between fishing sites! For higher yield though, if you know where to find them fish deeper with leechy flies. Experiment with dark and bright colored clousers/deceivers as well.
I have had the most luck with sink tip line like Rio Outbound Short.
