Headed north this week....what do you suggest I take for lures?

Lakers are the goal.

Thanks.

Flashy spoons and jigs with plastic or powerbait.

Don't overlook a chartreuse jig tipped with a minnow (where legal.) I don't have a ton of lake trout experience, but that's been by far the best for me, and I've tried all the standards.
You going to the bwca? Let us know about snow/slush/getting around conditions.

Thanks! Yes my daughter works at the end of the trail so I am headed up tomorrow and then out to camp two nights. We are going to shoot for some trout through the ice.

I'm excited!

With the high winds and snow we had today, the lakes may be very bad shape with a lot of drifting, making travel on them tough!
