I think MM is correct, but I'm not sure. Adam recently cleaned out the Deleted file and, in doing so, probably affected post totals for anyone who participated in a thread that was eventually deleted. (The deletion could have occurred for any reason.) I wasn't sure that posts in the Deleted file counted toward one's total posts, but I guess this answers that question.
Don't worry about it. It's all good.

I have started many OT threads, so I'm not surprised I lost hundreds.

I still have my 817 "worthy" posts, so apparently, I have not abused my privileges, although I probably have come very close a few times over the years. I'm pretty sure I have. I'll sit down in the corner facing the wall again for now.

Haven't really been keeping track, so hard to say how many I may have "lost" personally, maybe 100-150, but it is sad when older posts disappear. Not the OT ones, I get that, it's some of the classics that will never again wind up in search results. Ah, well... I guess there's always the Wayback Machine.

Spartan2: "I guess I a surprised that so many people know/knew exactly how many posts they had. I have no idea how many I had before, but it looks like I lost some. I will not lose any sleep over it. They were probably inconsequential."
I wasn't really hung up on it, I've only been a member for a few years. I only noticed because I just passed 500 posts and got an extra pine tree, then it went away.
I think this is a great community and have appreciated all the input and direction I've got from other members from this site. Four years back I took myself and 9 year old son, with minimal wilderness and camping experience, on our first trip, (Granite River), and got hooked. Have taken another trip every year since, despite the 2,000 mile round trip drive.
Kind of off topic, but thanks to everyone who contributes to this site. Wish I could meet some of you in person. I dream of making wing night some time.

Ha, were both lucky we have any left.......

Well, as for me, I couldn't give a rat's south end how many posts I have now, because I have my coveted "Prize" from Dicecupmaker and aint nobody taking it away from me! But had I been close to it and had it pulled further away, I could understand one's frustration. But, whatever Adam has to do to keep this site afloat, I'm ok with. After my other paddling site morphed into something unrecognizable from it's beginning, I'm very thankful Adam and crew have kept this site going and thriving!
Oh, and BTW, THANKS AGAIN MITCH (Dicecupmaker)!
