I'm looking for an aluminum canoe in decent condition near the twin ports area. I only see a couple options on craigslist, but prices seem a little steep. If anyone has a 14-17 footer that they care to part with please let me know!

Yeah, I'm surprised how expensive aluminum canoes are.

Maybe contact an outfitter? I see pyramids of them just sitting around, reflecting sunlight, without appearing to get a whole lot of use. I bet one would be willing to sell one?

Have you checked craigslist? I see a lot of them in the $300-$400 range in the St. Paul/Mpls area. But yes, a few are way over priced. The twin cities artea is a bit of a drive for you.
