The troop I inherited is 95 scouts right now so, yea, One hour a week not so much!

Congratulations! A troop of 95 will keep you plenty busy, but the 'ol hour a week should do it. Lol! As everyone involved in leading scouts know the demands of the job are great but the real reward is helping the youth.

Wow! 95 scouts is a great number. What is your troop's secret? Our troop goes about 25 to 30, which is fine. Numbers seem to be trending down in our area. I too am SM, can't imagine making it happen for 95. We are taking 23 to the BWCA this summer.

I have not watched the movie, but have it on DVD.

95 is a lot! I think we are at 79 in our pack this year and the main reason for that is we absorbed another pack that doubled our size! Definitely more than an hour a week, but it's a good time for both of my boys and I enjoy it too.

No secret I guess. A lot of leaders have helped. The strong support from the Charter has helped as well.

As big as we are, the challenges are many. Especially making sure none fall through the cracks.
