Imagine a THUNDERDOME for fish, complete with tiny chainsaws and other weapons. Who would win? Walleye or smallmouth?*

Two fish enter!
One fish leaves!

*This is a serious question, so tender all due respect.

Wallski’s would win. Smallmouth go dormat in water temps below 60 degrees and herd up like a human sheeple.

You guys are failing to consider whether the water does or doesn't go to the top of the Thunderdome for fish. If it doesn't, the walleye can't leap for the weapons. The smallmouth can! What good are the walleye's sharp teeth when the smallmouth has a little chainsaw in its mouth? These are serious questions deserving serious consideration.

Now you're thinking! However, if the smallmouth "herd up," won't they be a bit like a Roman phalanx, especially if they bristle will weapons plucked from the ceiling of Thunderdome?

Are we talking a lake smally or a river smally? There’s a difference.

River smally versus river walleye. And lake smally versus lake walleye. And all with no prior experience fighting with chainsaws, pikes, and maces, of course.

Now the pikes are involved??? What kind of fight is this? Next thing you know the lake trout will be chiming in, geez!

Big Hungary LT’s would eat all species including northern. I once caught a 12 pound laker with a 4-5 pound pout in its mouth, gullet, and stomach.

I didn't know there was Lake Trout in Hungary :) That must have been a hungry LT to be eating something that big.

Tough call. Walleye would bully and bash the smaller but faster smallmouth. However, it is a little know fact that the smallmouth can emit a high frequency pitch when threated that disorientates the walleye thus allowing it to counter attack with an effective barrage of tail strikes and head butts. Ultimately, the smallmouth would start glamming it up for the crowd and the walleye would shake off the attack and swallow the showboating smallmouth. Of course the walleye would choke on the slimy green scaled carp and cough him up. I don't see there really being a winner or a loser in this battle royal. Maybe we fillet up both of them for the failure to follow the rules. Master Blaster and Max would eat well for the night.

Every lipped a Walleye out of the water. Your thumb will be tore to shreds. Walleye is a predator. I chose the Sander Vitreus.

your forgetting the smallmouth lept out of the water to the top of the dome and grabbed a chainsaw.....not sure how it will run under water though.

Anyone else catch the new hybrid Wallbows outta Lake Superior? Holy cow let’s hope these critters don’t end up in the roadless area lakes.
