It's been 10 years since I joined this wonderful community!!! How long have you been active on this site?! A Big Thank You to Adam for running a tight ship! Keep your paddle in the water kids!!
Joy is a great teacher, but so is dispair. Wonder is a great teacher, but so is confusion. Hope is a great teacher, but so is disillusionment. And life is a great teacher, but so is death. To deny yourself any of those in any aspect is not experiencing life totally.

Ditto for me, I have no idea how long it's been? I just know I've been in love with the BWCAW since 1984 and I browsed but rarely commented on a couple other BWCAW websites until I found this one. I settled in and it's been like a comfy old sofa from that point, it just feels good.
Also, you are such a wonderful part of this place, Mitch! Your contributions in both posts and those wonderful leather can cozies that you graciously gift us with. THAT is "Over and beyond," my friend! Every time I post on this site, heck, every time I get on the computer, I glance at it and smile. THANKS AGAIN, Mitch!

11 years last January. Joined to do research for my first trip & other than a lull in activity between trips #1 and #2 I've been coming here multiple times per day whenever I'm at work and occasionally on weekends.

Will be 8 years in August, but I was a lurker for many years. Met a member on a portage and he convinced me to join. I don't post often, but visit frequently.

I think around 7 years or so. I hope that both dicecupmaker and I are both around long enough that someday I too will get to hold one of those fine pieces of work.

Mocha: "schweady: "Jackfish: "Where does it show what number we are?"
Hover over name and see lower left of page window."
hmmm.. that sounds more right than my idea. however, i see nothing appearing at the bottom of the screen"
Just go under or take the arrow (pointer) under where it says View Profile and then actually on the bottom of your entire computer screen in the lower left corner you will see your number. You do not go into view profile itself.

You are #672"
Thanks for confirming, Cindy. I just found it.

You all are the best! Every year I go through a cycle when this time of year I’m getting all excited for my trips and obsessively checking for new posts. Then after my trips happen, I tend to tune out. But every year I tune back in I realize how great this community is. I’ve learned a lot from you folks.
Has anybody considered an anniversary camp out celebration for the entire site? Maybe around the 20 year mark. Could only imagine the fun that would be. Of course, easier on paper than making it a reality.
