Here’s what I got for this year’s fishing endeavors. Some things have been consolidated into a single bag or a couple bags based on how many I have. I also plan to break the Keitechs and Googans out of the hard plastic and into Ziplocs before my trip in a month. I may use the creaturebaits as trailers but otherwise they will be Texas rigged. I want to try them for brookies too but I think they’ll be too big. This is all for bass, if it wasn’t obvious. Altogether without the hard plastic cases I think it will come in around 5 pounds. And yes, it’s all coming with me on my trips.

*Finesse*
2x 4" senkos in one bag
4x 5" senkos in 2 bags
8x ztoo and shadz in 2 bags
3x ztoo for a friend
1x 4" green pumpkin tubes

*Swimbaits*
2x 3.8" keitechs
2x 4.3" keitechs
3x 4.8" keitechs

*Creaturebaits*
2x bandito bugs
1x krackin craws

*Trailers*
1x baby brush hog and 1x pumpkin grub in 1 bag

Are you going to be in the BWCA for 2 months?

Nope, just want a variety of baits to fit all weather and any bite. If it’s really windy like it can be in the spring, those finesse baits (besides the tubes) will be almost useless to me. The swimbaits however are chuck and wind. No problems there as I have weighted hooks for them. I can also use the small 3.8” as trailers. I have a lot of ztoo/shadz as I plan to share them with my friend who I know won’t buy them, but if they’re blowing up on these things then he will probably want some. So I got enough to share.

And this isn’t even taking into account my hardbaits!

Haha, just a 4 day trip and 8 day trip coming up. I will of course be using these baits for fishing around the state this season as well. I’m gonna have to plan some weekend trips and find some good shore fishing spots close to the Twin Cities as I don’t have a boat or canoe. I think Lake Minnetonka has some promising shore fishing areas but it’s so big that I will only be able to check out one or two spots per day. I don’t know if I will burn through all of my plastics this year, but I can try...

I'd say you're good on quantity, but if it was me instead of taking 8 of a certain one I'd take 2 or 3 and get more variety. Sizes, colors, shapes, etc

Didn’t see any good old twister tails in the mix.... just saying...

Oh yeah, I’ve got some of those in the pocket of my PFD. I will have those for walleye and laker jigging for sure.

I have two watermelon colored senkos merged, and the strawberry cream with white flake merged in. The ztoos are in 3 different colors and the shadz are in 2 different colors. So there is more variety than it seems. I went big on them because of all of the praise from Quetico Mike. Hope I get a lot of calm days to make use of them! As long as I don’t get eaten alive by bugs. I’d rather have a 15mph wind, lol.

Just a friendly reminder to keep the ZMan baits separate from your other baits. The plastics/elaztech will react to each other and you'll have a melty/gooey/sticky mess and no more baits. If I'm going to consolidate my plastics, I'll use a bag for each brand and not cross pollinate. I learned the hard way with some senkos and razor shadz mixed up.

Looks like plenty. +1 on the 3" twister tails. I found that using the o-ring for my senkos made them last longer. I also bring some super glue to give a little extra life to baits that are getting torn up.

I need to get some super glue, that is on my list. I do have a wacky rigging setup for the senkos but I may try a shaky head setup as well just for kicks, what's another couple jig heads in my box? I am keeping all of the Elaztech stuff separate but I'm keeping it in the ZMAN bags that the ShadZ came in, instead of Ziplocs, as I don't know how the Elaztech would fare against the Ziploc plastic. I may be putting all of the 5" senkos in a single Ziploc as I have 1 more bag coming (backordered) for a total of 5 different colors and I might as well consolidate if I can.

I think you're good to go....I use Zman stuff because I used to carry around pounds of senkos, swimbaits, etc. It works just as good as the other stuff, and with a little super glue, I can get by with at least two or three smallies before a pike bites me off! :)

Never had any issue with ZMAN in Ziplock baggies. If you use ZMAN ShadZ\RaZor or Strike King Zulu\Ztoo, once they start to wear out on the nose and where the hook penetrates the surface of the back, just use a drop of superglue in each of those areas and it will increase the life of those lures. I have caught over 100 fish with a single ShadZ, you can't do that with a fluke that's for sure.

I had some room left in my tacklebox (single 3600) so I decided to get a few ned heads and some ZMAN worms, lol. MOAR PLASTICS!
