Great trip report, wonderful photos, and nice reminders of many lakes and portages from my past Quetico visits. May Jan live on forever in the memories of his friends--thanks for sharing the story and the memorial trip.

Nicely done, gents. Jan would have been proud. Thanks for an excellent trip report.

Very well done and I enjoyed the pics. That's a fantastic route, I love that area from Louisa to McEwen. Bald Rock Falls is a nice spot to stay at too. I'm sure Jan was smiling the whole time. Very nice tribute to him. It's hard to believe how fast the time goes.

Exo: "Thank you for honoring Kanoes and sharing this with us. Jan was a wonderful man and introduced me via this forum and the chat room to solo canoeing. I think about his advice and mentorship often."
Exo.....I see you are from Waterford. I was born and raised there until I was off to college and vet school.

It's a nice little city. I've moved on from there. I should update my profile.
