What do you think is more fun between the two?

You'll have a much better chance at landing numbers and size for SMB. Lakers can be hit or miss, but there are some bigger fish in Clearwater if you are so kindly blessed.

Personally, why not try for both? FWIW, I've always done better from the palisades and beyond the lake to the east. Good luck and have fun!!

Interesting question. Nothing is more fun than catching a big trout, but it's a relative rarity. You generally gotta put your time in. I would say trout are more fun to catch, but bass are more fun to fish for.

I would say Lakers.

To me they are both really fun to catch, that being said I would take a laker over a smallie any day. If you stay on Clearwater fish the Lakers really early or at dusk or if it’s raining. The rest of the time can be spent on smallies they are everywhere in there .
