My cousins used to drive their pickups in winter up to LLC and fish lakers. Anybody on the board ever do that? It sounds like fun and a good way to get on some big fish.

Back in the day on a low snow year I drove my Chevy pickup all the way into basswood over four mile portage. Let’s say there was a lot of laughs, fish, and booze.

Used to drive on Vermilion between Oak Narrows and Tower. Not so much the last 25 years. I’ve either gotten lazy, or wiser.
