A while back, I asked a similar question , looking for infant PFD suggestions. You guys steered me toward the Stohlquist Nemo, which was a great item. I'm now looking for PFDs in the 30-50 lb range. My daughter tells me that they like ones with neoprene material, and in a v-neck style so it doesn't ride up so much (?) Anyone have a favorite? (of course you do...)
EDIT: Not necessarily for paddling... more for motor boat rides

I am in a similar boat (pun intended) but with older kids. I’m looking for recommendations for a “tween” PFD. My kid is 12 and just barely exceeds the 90lb range for youth vests. But most of the adult small ones are massive and uncomfortable for him. Like Schweady, paddling isn’t necessarily the priority here but we do spend long days fishing so he needs to be fairly comfortable and have good range of mobility etc. Don’t want to go inflatable since he’ll also wear it cliff jumping in the bwca.
Advice appreciated!

My kid is also 12 and seems to have outgrown his youth vest overnight (over the fall and winter really).
I went to Costco and had him try on the hyperlite vest they had but it didn't seem to fit quite snug enough. The woman's medium seemed to fit the best.
My next thought was to see if we could find one that fits at Cabela's. He was satisfied with his youth vest from Cabela's.

My 4-y/o will reccomended the Spiderman pfd from fleet farm. I Started to talk about PFD features and comfort, etc but it was quickly evident that the most important feature was that spiderman was on the front. He has been happy with it and has not drowned. Hope this helps.
