I have a canoe pack that hasn't been used in awhile and the straps are all hard to pull, they are very clean, just not moving well, all buckles are plastic type, anyway to fix this, or is it just a matter of working them?

Seems like just working them back and forth is helping.

Soak them in clean soapy water scrub rinse and dry. If leather do the same with saddle soap and a leather oil treatment.
