Just got around to posting about it now. But last fall I found two beers on a remote portage in the BWCA. I'm trying to find the owner so they can be reunited with their lost items. If anyone can prove to me that they belonged to them I will gladly give them direction on how to recover their items. Any information that leads to finding the owners would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Pretty sure they are not mine because I don't think I've ever had a Schmidts.

However, that boat in the background could well be mine. Maybe just drop it off at my cabin and I'll try it for a few years to see if it feels familiar.

Exactly. Those aren’t “lost” probably just “abandoned” due to taste. :)

Is canned water banned in the BWCAW?

+1..."abandoned"! Always called it Shi*#t's beer, for obvious reasons.

Who in the heck would bring Schmidt into a remote area, take out every other letter and what does it spell?

The code is now broken. How will we be able to communicate without everybody knowing our thoughts?

Last summer I found an intact bottle of beer on the bottom of the river during a float trip on the Merimec in Missouri. I brought it home and just to gross out my daughters I drank it. It was still perfectly good and carbonated.

Oh my, light beer in a can.
Good luck with your search Detective.

They can't be mine because mine would be empty.

Fantastic. My first thought was that "how do you drink 2 Schmidt Lights?" reminded me of this meme on how to eat pineapple pizza.

This is one of the best new member first posts I can remember for some time. Welcome Grayduck, and by forum etiquette if no one claims these cans in 2 years they are yours.

Thanks, Jaywalker! Maybe by then they will have "aged" into something more drinkable.

They're mine, if you find them just tie them together and sink them to the bottom with a buoy attached. Email me the coordinates and I'll pick them up this summer. I would prefer that you sink them in a hot walleye spot!!
Thanks a million Captn!

Not mine, but let me know if you ever find any warm Miller in plastic.

Ah, yes - those are sometimes mistaken for beer.

In fact they are Medicinals, used for Colonic Cleansing & Irrigation.

If there were cold I would have attempted to drink them.....what is the boat in the background?

That's not a boat in the background and not beer in the foreground either!

Not mine. Can’t drink beer since I had chemotherapy. Makes me sick. Now imagine when Nolan Ryan realized he had lost his fastball, or Johnny Mathis when he couldn’t hit the high notes anymore. You take away the one true talent I had in life, a skill perfected over many years, and many, many, beers, and what am I left with...
Whiskey!

pretty sure that if you send them to a lab for testing your results will state: "Congratulations your mare is pregnant."

This is a hurtful post. I worked at the Schmidt brewery back in the day. I have had some awful craft beers, not sure what these punk brewers are thinking. This beer promises to be nasty, I’ll take a grain belt
