After lots of feedback from guys on here to my back yard gear trial I’ve been convinced to work out different sleeping arrangements and have been shopping for sleeping pads. I’ve looked around and have found this one that seems to have a lot of good reviews, anyone have one? Klymit

I like my klymit insulated static v, and I’m sure the lux would be even better. Get the insulated one though, a cold night on an uninsulated pad sucks.

I have the standard size Insulated Static V vs. the uninsulated and larger version you linked. It is a reasonable alternative, but not as comfortable as my Exped Synmat or Thermarest Neo-Air.

You might want to consider one of the insulated models, especially if you are only sleeping with a quilt vs. a sleeping bag. The Klymit depends on your sleeping bag to a certain extent for the insulation (go to their website and read technology).

Or you could take a Mylar emergency blanket to put underneath in case the temperature drops low.

I also have the Klymit Insulated Static V. Also bought the Klymit Insulated Double V for times that my wife and I canoe together. After 40 years with the Original Thermarest, these are among our best canoe gear upgrade purchases ever.

Yeah, seems like there's a Klymit deal offered by someone almost all of the time. You will love the Luxe. Though it's 11 oz heavier and packs slightly larger, you have that extra 0.5" height.

That one should do the trick for you without being super heavy or bulky. It's a little wider than even the average large size pad, thick enough to hike the small roots and rocks, and the R value will be more than sufficient for any temps you'll have. Let us know how it works out for you.

Thanks guys. Looking forward to tryin g it out. I measured across my back and was 25” from outside shoulder to outside shoulder so I didn’t think I’d be comfy on the pads that are around 24” wide which seemed to be the standard for most. This one had good reviews on Amazon as well. The price for this one was around $115 but saw it drop to $87 the other day so pulled the trigger.

Just picked one up on ebay from klymit, they have factory refurbished for 70.00 or best offer. I got a insulated luxe shipped for $65.00, i think you could get them in the 50.00 range. I hammock camp, and use a underquilt in my ridgerunner, but may have to go to the ground in the Q next month, and it will fit my ridgerunner if i wanted.
