I am thinking about buying a used InReach Explorer and am wondering if there could be issues with setting up an InReach account because of the previous owners account and or usage of codes. This will be my first GPs so I don't quite know how all of this works. Thanks a million and happy trails!
i purchased a used one last year and activated it without issue. However you wont be able to activate it until your ready to purchase a plan, monthly, yearly, etc..
You can erase any previous owner's info on the unit by choosing 'Restore Factory Settings' in the Settings menu. On the inReach SE I bought used this spring, the seller had already done this.
