Amazing how long the zman plastics last. One plastic is good for days of fishing. I reversed this green pumpkin trd after it got thrashed and then fished the next day with it. Walleyes and smallies love them.

Agreed....I watched my nephew catch 50+ bass on one finesse TRD (pictured) in about 2 hours. Only had to flip it end for end and they were still biting when we had to leave. These things are awesome.

I've been falling in love with Zman and the Ned Rig( Ned Kehde is a local fellow) for a few years now. Last August green pumpkin TRD's saved an otherwise very slow trip in to Quetico. They caught everything but lakers in good numbers and some lunkers to boot when nothing was working and noone was catching. Several other of their baits have been proving to be great also. The unique softness and buoyancy of their plastics give them an action like no other. The durability is a bonus for sure! Crap, I sound like a Zman commercial, lol.

I’ve just tried out the new neko rig too. Used the Zman Bang stickz with their Neko weight in the tail. Fishes like a cross between the trd and a tube jig. More weedless and bass devour the rig.

Just got some Z-Man finesse Shadz I want to try in the Q this year with this same set up. What is the best presentation you have found?

Do you use your ned rig relatively shallow? Around structure? Everywhere?

Everywhere and anywhere. Bounce it back, swim it back, or just let it sit, anything works with these finesse trd

What size jig head are you guys using with the ned rig?

The zman mushroom heads...I forget what size but it is the smaller of the two

while on my local lake last saturday, meet up with this guy in a kayak , talked for like 2 hours , the usual fish talk ;) but he was using (this time of the year) basically a ned rig but no jig head , just a worm hook , his color of choice was a brighter green w/specks .
he used braid with a #20 fluorocarbon leader , and has done extremely well on this set up early spring.

Just got back from a trip on the granite river. This was the only thing we could catch walleye on. Smallmouth were biting (slowly) on leaches but hammering this jig as well. This was my first trip with this rig and it now has a permanent home in my tackle box
