spotted this tiny baby fawn this morning. it's laying at the base of this large tree in a large mowed lawn with other spaced out large trees. it laid there all day. went back around 6:30 this evening and it was gone. hard to believe it's mama just left it in the wide open like that! i wasn't close to get this photo, hiding behind a tree about 25 yards away, maybe, bad judging distance.

Two beautiful photos Mocha and Mooseplums! We have a mama with a fawn around the house. We've only had glimpses and have tried not to disturb her. But here's one from a few years back:

Saw this group flying across the lake strung out in a longgg line, about 3 feet off the water. Pretty cool.
