I'm entering the BWCA tomorrow and we will be fishing on Clearwater and Caribou. Any last minute suggestions? I'm guessing that we should be fishing 15-20 feet deep for the trout and some little Cleo spoons should work. Do I need to adjust any of my plans for lake temp?

For walleye fishing, we are planning on getting some leeches and heading to Caribou. I would guess that walleye would be about 10-15 feet deep on this lake, but I'm not sure exactly how clear the water is. Any tips?

The trout may have shifted a little deeper than that, it was 80 degrees or near that yesterday, same for today and tomorrow. I talked to a guy on Monday who had just returned from Sag and said they caught them in 25 last week there.

Good luck and let us know how you do! I will be on Clearwater this coming Wednesday, also targeting trout.

I'll probably run into the gopher this weekend!

I have weights for trolling spoons, as well. Crankbaits for walleye. Whopper Plopper, ned rigs, and various jigs.

Curious about the Ned rig. Just bought some and have yet to use them. It’s going to be my back up if I’m not getting them with traditional methods. Have you had success with it? With walleye specifically?

If it’s sunny try a gold spoon on Clearwater.
