Just wanted to see if anyone had any great suggestions for the best LM Bass fishing in the BWCAW? My fiancee and I love bass fishing, and you don't hear much about largemouth up there. (P.S. I love smallmouth even more, but I can figure where to find those bronze beauties all on my own)

Caught one that was a few ounces one side or the other of 5 lb. in Good a few years ago. Got in an area on Ensign where we caught quite a few - none better than ~2 1/2 - 3 lbs.

a little off topic from the original post , but
when the water temps (fall time) hit that 49*to48* it's time for trophy largemouth and use 1oz+ spinnerbaits , and try what color tickles you ;) and work that dieing weed edge 7'-15' ?
please practice CPR with these girls. west metro.

We fished Ensign for fishing opener this year and we caught 3 Largemouth bass over 18", the largest at 20.5." I am guessing it was right at 5lbs. Caught under a slip bobber with minnow in 8' of water when the surface temps were right around 55 degrees.
