This is a little off track, but there are plenty of walleye fisherman on this board. A friend of mine just got back from Sweden and, while he was there, he went fishing. They don't have walleye there, but they have Zander, part of the perch family. They look similar to walleye, but are bigger. I saw enough photos that I am adding this to my bucket list.

If you have never heard of them, I encourage you to look them up. They sound very similar to walleye in how to fish them.

If anyone has had the fun of catching these I would love to hear about it. I am attaching a picture of one just off the internet (not from my friends trip).

Zander were stocked in North Dakota in 1989 and some are still caught from a population that established in Spiritwood Lake near Jamestown.

7 pound zander caught in June 2018
