My brother and I are starting to plan a Bucket list trip for the fall of October 2020. We are both school teachers (in different districts) and the stars have lined up for the same week. Originally we were looking at a canoe trip into the BWCA however we are liking the idea of a cabin and comfort. Can anyone recommend a reasonable cabin so we can grouse hunt and walleye/lake trout fish? We are looking at the Ely area. Or better yet if you have done a trip like this can you give me any insight toward the success of our trip.

I've never hunted it, but there was just an episode on the T.V. show, "The Flush" about grouse hunting in BWCA. They went through Jasper Company in Ely. Don Beans was hosting them and might be the owner of the lodge. Might want to contact them for some info.
