I didn't see a 2019 thread for blueberry season. I will be in ely area this weekend. How are the blueberries looking? Are blueberry pancakes and cobbler on the menu yet?

I was out this past weekend poking around in Biwabik township area (about 1 hour south of Ely). There were ripe berries but, I'd say that prime picking was over a week away yet. Gonna check again this weekend...

Just in time for the Blueberry Festival next weekend?? That is great news!

I will have three days to dedicate to finding patches all around Ely- should be fun!

Just returned from Sawbill. They are several weeks behind. Strawberries were still out, blueberries were green and raspberries were still blooming!

Sounds perfect for my trip in August. Funny how that works. And thankful.

Someday I’m going to hit the blueberries at the right time. I’m always a couple of weeks to early or way late.

I saw lots of blueberries along the Isabella River, but they are not even close to bring ripe. Maybe a few more weeks!

The blueberries are way behind this year. There are plenty of wild strawberries and Juneberries to be found; and some Dewberries and Raspberries are ripe.

We actually had very good luck Saturday and Sunday on the north Kawishiwi. Seemed to be entering peak on the ridges there.
