Anyone use live bait on their jigs or just twister tails? If live, what do you use? Same for twisters. What colors? I used green & and orange and didn’t have any luck really. Any info would be great.

Leech is what I use in the BWCA. Twister tails in Quetico. My go to color in Quetico is white, with orange and yellow being second and third.

I don't think it really matters. Location and timing are the most important variables IMHO.

Many people swear by leeches in the BWCA. I'm sure there are plenty of crawler devotees as well.

I've used leeches and had some success, but probably about on par with the success I've had with other lures/plastics. There is something about throwing a leech under a slip bobber that just feels more righteous than a twister tail.
