Fishing advice-Cherokee loop

We are planning to do the Cherokee loop starting at baker and exiting at sawbill in the beginning of August. We might go through the west side of Brule, and day trip or camp on Frost as well. Wondering if anyone has any walleye or lake trout tips. We know it’s not the best time for lake trout, just want to try. Thank you!
