EDIT: My fault! I think Adventure Map is the proper choice.

Two versions of Quetico maps from Chrismar, the Your Guide and The Adventure Map. Which do you get for a great overview of Quetico for canoe tripping?

You're right twice. Chrismar Adventure Maps.

With all the threads lately about which map is best, which map has the most accurate portage locations, etc., etc., etc... just get them all. (I'm not really joking.)

Some say a Chrismar is best because of "X"... some say McKenzie is best because of "Y". Some say Fisher (or some other brand) is best because of "Z". There is no consensus to the question because they're all pretty good and people see maps differently.

I'll offer this one opinion that is shared fairly often by multiple people... whether you trip with it or not, the Chrismar is an excellent overview of Q and offers a great resource for planning trips.

I have the Fisher and McKenzie already. I have also taken the files made by butthead and pp and merged them. I figure if I also get the Chrismar, I can't go wrong. And actually, the type of overview the Chrismar offers is what I was looking for to form the "way up there" view.

Mike:

They almost always have them available at Prairie Portage ranger station. Usually at Piragis Northwoods Co (in Ely) as well.
