My second of two consecutive knee replacement surgeries was May 5. Still some swelling in my right knee because I was stretching too aggressively and too soon after surgery and popped some internal sutures...I go back to the doc on sep 23 and he's hopefully gonna go back in and sew it back up. Meanwhile, I have a Lizz Lake permit for Monday the 16th, gonna do those easy portages to Horseshoe with the help of my 2 burly 20-something sons, the oldest of which is coming in from Cleveland (we live in Rockford, Il). Near-perfect weather forecast, what a contrast from last year around this time when I took them to the BW for their first time and caught the first snow of the season. They loved it and they're back for round 2! Needless to say, I'm stoked. Kid at Christmas kind of thing. Hoping to see some moose and have at least one walleye dinner.

Glad your feeling good enough to head back! Enjoy you trip and time with your boys. Also don't push them new knees to hard, you need them for many more trips. Have a great trip!
When its in your face dig hard, When its at your back enjoy the ride....
