My latest fishing article is now available in the Boundary Waters Journal new Fall issue. It is called "Don't Put Those Rods Away Yet". It basically about lures, presentations and locations for Fall fishing pike, walleye, lake trout and smallmouth.

Yes was out in my area on a small trout lake it was dead calm a little mist, leaves turning and a bonus I caught 5 rainbows and kept 3 close to12 inches. Perfect day. Yes the night before we did have 5 inches of rain, today it is cooler.
I did hear this week of the north shore there may be a couple inches of snow-slush.

Thanks BP! I hope my article can help some people with their Fall fishing up north. October is typically my favorite month here on the Great Miami River, but it has been in the 90s this week and will continue to be hot until Friday. Next week the temps are suppose to get closer to normal (rather than 20 degrees above), so I am hoping the topwater action will begin showing signs of starting soon! Good luck out there to you and everyone else still out there fishing!
