Here I thought you were inviting us all to your place. Haha! That looked very intriguing!
We had I believe it was a Hibbing native who went to mpls and became a “renowned chef” come up and buy a small resort/restaurant/bar. The place was renovated some and she had her own menus ideas. I recalled our senior citizens group went there and even the most frail little old ladies went home hungry vs normally they’d be taking to go boxes home. She didn’t last long. I’ve eaten at Gunflint Lodge back with previous ownership and a few other places on the trail. I’ve never been disappointed! I met Housty9 and I think Hawbaker joined us as well as Dena (Marks wife) in Grand Marais. We ate lunch at a little cafe downtown. That would be a place I didn’t really care for. I’ve never really been impressed for food there. I haven’t tried My Sisters Place cause I always think of my sister as someone who might poison me... hahaha!

My brother and I ate there the night before our May trip. The food was fantastic! Everything was made from scratch, even the pasta. It always nice to have another option on the Trail.

Our group has had this on our menu for many years. It’s very easy to make and very good. We will start with a bear creek mix of potato soup, or a mix of wild rice soup. Then we add a few fresh potatoes and carrots. Cook until the veggies are about half done then add the fish. We serve it in paper bowls over a biscuit. Good stuff.

Thanks for the link. Gosh, I miss the Angry Trout.

Ben, when I talk to friends returning from overseas, no matter where they've been, they're all struck by the size of American portions.

Is that Old Bay seasoning on top? Good call, I will remember that.
