This is a Frost River Portage Canoe Pack, used very little and in great shape. I purchased this used about 10 years ago and only used it a few times. Now I am old and, fully loaded, this pack would just be too large for me to portage. It is too nice of a pack to have it sit for years in my camp gear room.
I believe it was manufactured by the earlier iteration of Frost River, before they shut down for a while and then reopened, and was made for sale at Piragis Northwoods Company up in Ely, MN. Its top flap leather patch actually IDs it as a Piragis item rather than Frost River, but there is no doubt it was made by Frost River. If someone has more specific info on the history of Frost River, certainly chime in.
I believe this is an early Lewis and Clark model, it measures 27" by 24" by 6". The current version appears to be slightly larger, 27" by 26" by 6". It is certainly larger than their No. 7.
Asking $175 for it. I live in Hudson, WI, but will meet in the Twin Cities area if that is easier. Will ship for actual shipping cost.
