I haven't done much digging yet as harvest has druuuuuug on here forever so we're still pretty busy. That said, four of us are hoping to make a Q trip in August or September of next year. I always read people saying to send in this, apply for that early, etc. How early and for what permits or details?
I'm hoping to start at LaTourells and head NW from PP toward Sarah and that area. McIntire? My dad has been there long ago and wants to go back, the other three of us have never been to the Q.
Fishing licenses, outdoor card, passport, RABC? Obviously the passport is on us here and we have those...but the rest is new to me.
Permit reservations at 5 months to the day in advance of the entry. Call or login in early for on that day if you must have that entry on that date. Not much competition like there used to be, but be safe.
RABC is good for a year. Unless you think you can capture this trip and an early one next year, apply 2-4 months in advance and be safe.
Can't help with fishing and outdoors card, but think you can do both online nearly last minute.
The newer drivers licenses (star? Enhanced?) I think work from entering US from Canada, if that's all you need it for.
Do you still need an RABC if you're crossing through a ranger station? I thought they were only for if you're crossing in remote areas without officials.
Prairie Portage has no customs officers. Park personnel have no immigration authority. An RABC is required for crossing without immigration authorities- this includes PP and Saganaga.
