For my boat not canoe. I know many here have boats and not just canoes, so hopefully someone will have a thought. Looking for a fish finder with GPS and capable of loading maps, would like a seven inch screen. My biggest question is probably whether side scanning is worth the extra money, I mainly fish perch, walleye, lake trout and whitefish but occasionally bass fish. Would like to keep it under $700.00. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

It's very helpful looking for bait and would be nice for any species that likes to suspend. As with any technology it adds to your abilities but is it worth it? Only you can decide.
