I am interested in a guided canoe camping trip similar to the TV show "Brigade" where a group of diverse canoeists travel point "A" to "B" as a group of 9 (quota). Each person has their own gear but share the stories & wisdom along the way. Anyone ever heard of this?

I have not heard of this. Curious about what you mean by each person has their own gear?

I think there are several BWCA realities and rules that could be problematic:

Only 4 canoes are allowed per 9 people. So, obviously, not everyone is going to have their own canoe.

Given all the duplicated gear, the portages could be an ordeal. Single portaging is most likely not going to happen. Who portages the canoe?

9 food stashes/hangs? I can hear the bears now - Borgaschmord!!!!!

I would venture to guess that 95% of campsites are not able to accommodate 9 tents or even a mixture of 9 tents, tarps/leanto's and/or hammocks? Most campsites are lucky to have even 2 or 3 tent pads.

How would a campsite accommodate 9 people trying to cook food at once? Fires or stoves? etc.

Is everyone expected to bring their own cook tarp? Wood saw/hatchet? Other seemingly unnecessary duplications?

Several LNT principals are certain to be at least stretched to the limit.

Is the point of the trip self-sufficiency (as might be indicated by everyone having their "own gear") or is the point of the trip to work through all the above as a group?
I am not saying it "couldn't" be done, but there do seem to be some extenuating circumstances to be worked through.

Traveling and camping together without relying on others for food, equipment, or support has been termed " group solo" and is my preferred method. This works well for experienced individuals or boot crews. In the BWCA I agree with Michwall2 on the issue of tent space and 4 watercraft limit.
