Love this idea. I thought long and hard about how to apply this. The Y shape seems like it'd be a lot more comfortable than any of the current yolks out there. Do you know where your attachment points would be? What went into the dimensions you chose?

Very cool and very creative thinking.
Like it a lot, especially the potential for increased comfort and the weight savings.
Am concerned that deflection/stretch, even if minimal, may put your head in contact with the floor of the canoe while portaging. But I could be wrong and am looking forward to the empirical data once you test it!
