Sorry, tried to link a Wired2fish article and video on using a treble hook and pop rivet to rig jerk shads. Alas I’m technically challenged! Anyone else see the video? Looked pretty cool

I watched the video. If you wanted to try this you would have to use a Zoom fluke. It wouldn't work with a ZMAN ShadZ or Strike King Zulu due to the ElaZtech plastic. You couldn't push the small metal rod through the plastic and make a hole. They use a treble hook instead of a worm hook. That's one of the main reasons I love to throw ShadZ Zulu rig is because it is a single hook. I lip a lot of fish and there is less of a chance having a hook sticking in my finger when using one hook compared to three. I also like my ShadZ\Zulu to be weedless, this can't happen with a treble hook rig. I guess if you don't mind having a treble hook, you don't fish near any weeds, have a landing net and you use Zoom flukes you will be okay. I don't like to use flukes because I can catch 10 times more fish with ShadZ or Zulu before they wear out. Just my 2 cents on the rig......

Thanks Mike
I wondered if it would work with Zman products.
Guess you just saved me experimenting

I you wanted to rig it without the pop rivet you could just tie your line to a standard hook, thread it through the zulu by pulling the hook and line out of the belly, then cut the line and take off the standard hook and tie a treble hook onto your line and like the video embed one of the hooks back into the zulu.
