Hi all,

Looking for some advice on our early June Quetico trip this year. We are limited to shorter trip of in Thurs and out Monday. We typically push hard the first day to basecamp and “camp on the fish” strategy. Looking at Kaskakwog or Soho as our basecamp. We are targeting all species but top priority is walleye, smallmouth, lakers in that order. Please advise which lake you think would serve us best to base camp on or any other lakes nearby for day trips for fishing. Thanks all!

I'd stay on Cirrus.

Thanks guys! Would you stick to fishing the NE end of Cirrus? Or is a day fishing trip to either Soho or Kaskakwog worth our time?

Both lakes offer excellent fishing. The portage to Kask is a big up and over hill. The portage to Soho is flat and easy. There’s only one campsite on Soho. You can lunch there or on the beach on the east side.
