My RABC arrived today in the mail. It runs from the end of March till March of the following year.
I always apply in mid-January so I have that part out of the way early. Looking forward to a great trip this summer!

Hey Moondoggie... sounds good! Glad you're all set and ready to go with the RABC.
Could you share some information about the application, please?
After you filled out the form, I assume you included your credit card information, right?
Did you mail it from a post office?
Remember how much the postage was (approx.)?
How long did it take to receive your permit?

You have to get and fill out the application online RABC Application
The application has a page for you to put your credit card information as well as your personal data. You cannot save the filled out form to your computer from the site, I printed mine out and then scanned the completed document to my files.
You need to get an international, labeled "Global", stamp from the post office. I got three because that's how many were left on the sheet she pulled out. They are the "forever" type stamp so they will work in future years. I think they cost about $1.20 apiece. I mailed it from my house about the 14th of January and the application fee hit my credit card on the 30th. With the current exchange rate, the $30 Canadian was $22 and change.
Remember, the permit is good for a year. I got my first RABC in March several years ago. I get my application in in January just so I'll have that task taken care of. The permit I received will be good from March 30th of this year (the date my current one expires) until March of 2021.

That’s correct, Cyclones. You will have passed through Canadian customs on the highway to get to the northside so you’ll be all set.
