Going to trying some hanging this year, wondering if anyone has a down underquilt that is just taking up space?

I'm not sure if you are ever on the HammockForums, but in the forsale section underquilts come up all the time.

What kind of hammock do you have?

Good tip, thanks.

After extensive "research" I went with the BB XLC, two features sealed it. The shelf and the tie outs connecting to the bugnet creating more separation from the skeeters and my face.

I think the topcover could use better ventilation for condensation but I'm only guessing, we'll see.

Great Choice, i have their ridgerunner bridge hammock. I have a top cover on mine but it's a little different than yours, same principle, they call it the spindrift. I use it in spring and fall.

Just be patient and keep an eye out for a underquilt on hammock forums, they come and go fast, so i would say be thinking about what you're looking for as far as brands and temp rating, and also price point, some good discounts can be had for used.

+1 for hammock forums sale section.

If you're at all handy there are some great DIY versions of under quilts out there. I've made a few myself and find they can be combined to get really low if I need to. The economy version available on this site is a great place to start if you want to spend a little less but still have great performance.
