With all the worries about the tripping season, I am sure that many of us are worried about our favorite communities that surround the BWCA. That got me to thinking of the ways we can send some money north. A few days ago, I realized that I was out of Minnesota wild rice and made an online order from Zups. Fortunately for me, I got my order in before they suspended shipping and have asked people not to make any online orders until things settle down.

So what other stores are good for online ordering? There is Piragis. Maybe you don't need camping equipment, but they also have a great bookstore, clothing, and gifts. And, of course, we all need another canoe. I only have eight.

Voyageur North has some things online. Maybe some maps to plan that next trip. I suspect that most of the other outfitters do too.

Crapola has Crapola.

Any other ideas? How about places in Grand Marais? I don't know that area.

Considering that the entire Canoecopia weekend was shut down by the virus, you might consider checking out Rutabaga in Madison, WI. I believe I saw where they were extending Canoecopia discounts for a period of time. I'm sure they would appreciate the business, too.

Thanks for the reminder, going to trying hitting up VP Wild Rice in Superior now. Hand parched heaven.

Buy a gift card now from restaurants or any small business that offer them.

I just bought a Pioneer pack from CCS. Got it in yesterday. Still hoping to use it in May!
