Hi All,

Does anyone out there have a Wenonah (or similar) solo canoe with the old Spring River removable solo yoke hardware installed?

I'm looking for a pic and a measurement.

I'm going to DIY a yoke for my Encounter and need to know how long the angled aluminum brackets are. Distance from the bend where they attach to the yoke to the attachment at the gunwale.

I've done some guessing but it would be really helpful to see what the actual measurements are.

No rush. I'm in GA and the Encounter is in Wisconsin. But since I had a little time on my hands I figured I would try to sort out the details.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Brian

I believe you are referring to the "Hidden River" yoke (Spring creek makes a yoke that doubles as a seat, Chosen Valley makes the aluminum tube pedestal yoke). My favorite no longer made solo yoke.

Here's photos of the angled brackets from that yoke.

That's 7" long- flange is 2.25" long. Width is 2.75"

I found the guy who bought the parts bin when Hidden River went under. I bought two sets of spare brackets. My initial pair failed after twenty some years of heavy use. I replaced the yoke with a Chosen Valley yoke, but I had three of them fail in three years so I went searching for parts.

Drop me an email if you want the email to the inheritor of the Hidden River parts.

That's Perfect!

That's the one I was looking for. Had the name wrong. I'll shoot you an email about the source for Hidden River parts.

Thanks again,

Brian
