Have been spending mid-May to late September north of Quetico mostly fly fishing for smallmouth bass the last 7 years or so during my retirement years. At 82, my canoeing days are pretty much over. I do really miss it, but I've found plenty of solitude on most days and the numbers and size of the smallies are more than enough to satisfy me.......and probably close to 70 percent of my fish are on top.

Welcome! I wouldn't mind hearing some tales of canoe trips from days gone by, especially what you have seen change from when you were tripping. Thanks!.
