Thank heavens for my fabric stash. Hoarding is of value at some points. I have plenty to make masks for family, friends and to give away. Interestingly enough the 1/16" elastic cord I purchased 2 years ago to replace the bungee cord in some tent poles is just perfect for the ear elastics on the masks. Who would have guessed?

Elastic. Pure gold. We used up cards of them labeled "29 cents." That might have been my mother-in-law's stash. Let me tell you, when you run out of elastic, the ironing of the folds and the sewing that goes into making decent fabric ties is for the birds.
My wife was excited to have found "lots of elastic cord on Amazon," until I pointed out that delivery for the lot of them was estimated to be 'mid-June'... so, we shoulder on...

I have been sewing this pattern for myself and others at my work
Alternate mask
i use 550/zing-it/lash-it and appropriate cord locks. I dont need to get elastic at all, have only 1 adjustable point and dont have to tie it at all either. The other thing I like versus the standard pointed mask is the nose bar makes a pretty good seal. My glasses fog much less with this design

I've made about 40, but have not made a dent in my fabric hoard! Tried 4 different patterns, some with ties, some elastic, some with pockets for filter, some behind the ear, some behind the head. Have not tried the cord stopper to make it adjustable but I think I will. I try to design them for the person. Some wear glasses, or a hearing aid, or need to wear it all day for work vs just shopping for groceries.

I'm making masks now too, using the Clover pattern from makemasks2020.org.
Materials from RSBTR are on the way for a #3 pack.
I'm still employed full time, working in my basement. The masks I'm doing during slow & off-hours.

Oh yeah - I placed an initial order with Wawak the other day for some thread and other little notions. I got it in 48 hours with no expedited shipping fee. They have the whole rainbow of Mara 70 & lots of other supplies. I think I'll be getting more elastic from them....
