Looking for an aluminum portage yoke for my Alumacraft Explorer 17. Know where a person could get one?

Thanks

If you can't find an aluminum one, a wooden yoke bolts on the same way. I've had on on my Alumacraft Quetico 17 for decades. I'll dig around in the shop and see if I still have the aluminum one. If it fits, its yours.

On my Grumman canoes I replaced the aluminum thwarts that with ash and made thwart pads for them. The wood has spring in it and is a lot easier on your shoulders.

Thanks for the info. I think I will give the wood ones a try, would be a nice project to make one myself.
Thanks

Spring creek yoke for the win!!!! Gets the canoe up off your shoulders so you can actually see, reverses to double as a center seat, and IMHO is the most comfortable carrying yoke out there. Just my $0.02.....
