I have an Old Town Discovery 119 solo canoe. I'm interested in buying a yoke for it, because while it is light enough for me to carry by myself it is a little much to carry on one shoulder with the other side bumping against my thigh.
I'd prefer a detachable yoke so it doesn't have to by on there all the time. Any tips/suggestions/advice from y'all would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
Samantha

Hi Samantha... please acknowledge that you see this, then I’ll move it into the Items for Sale or Wanted forum. Didn’t want you to wonder where it went.

I don't understand - I'm not trying to buy anything right now from anyone on this site. Just looking for advice, what people have experience with in this situation. If you need to move it, go ahead. But I don't see the reason behind it.

Here's mine I made for my Magic...
Bought the yoke from edscanoe.com (under $30), bought the pads from CVCA ($65, but any suitable pads work). The rest is from the hardware store.
Northwest Canoe is another source for the yoke and pads.
