Really interesting, but as an engineer (long retired) it drives me nuts to read something pretending to be a technical review but screwing up the definition of units of measurement. Case in point: "...the cables would only have to be 0.2 square inches thick...". A square inch is a unit of area, not a unit of thickness as suggested by Joal & Jenny. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what they meant, but it still drives me nuts, especially before my second cup of coffee.

Graphene has been around for a long time, at least in developmental stages and limited uses, primarily for semiconductors. Every road cyclist's wishlist has a graphene bike on it that will be sub-10 pounds or so. Think of a 4-6 oz Zaveral paddle! I'm not aware of any common item made of graphene yet, so it'll be a while. People are already complaining of the cost of Bear Vaults, and they're made of plastic. Can you say $500 or more? There is already a carbon bear canister that's been out for years (Bearikade Bearikade ) that sells for almost $350.
