About a missing RABC permit. I applied for one for my daughter in February and they charged my card but we never got the permit. The guy I talked to says it was sent but lost in the mail or something. They will not send a replacement until the border is opened (EDIT-Until they announce the border will be opened). I asked what his opinion was about that--his opinion--and he replied he thought the border closure would extend to July or August with the high rates of infection in the US still going on. There is hope, however, and I haven't given up on my June 1 Quetico trip, but I have a BWCA backup that might could still happen--as long as I have a MN fishing license and the USFS opens BWCA, I'm going. I will keep to myself and self-quarantine for 14 days :)

Thanks for the information, Joe. I'm still hoping to do my first WCPP trip in Aug.

Good to know! I hope that the closure doesn't extend that far out but that just means more BWCA trips this year :)

I'm hoping it opens by Aug 1 for a WCPP trip, but Sept. 1 might be doable for me, although it feels like pushing it a little. If not by then, it'll likely be BW.

Looks like the longest border in the world will be closed for at least another month.
