So heading up in two weeks to go out to Beartrap Lake. I have a $60 gift card I need to spend at Cabela’s. I have all of the necessary stuff I need. What is something that I don’t necessarily need, but would be nice for my trip? What are some suggestions?

Breathable shirt, neck buff, new polarized sunglasses, new fishing lures or line?

I could spend a ton of money there on crap I didn't really need... oh wait, I just did that last week and it all showed up in five different shipments (I hate that).

Buy a Tilley hat. Cabelas sells them.

I was thinking the same thing, although you'll have to throw in another $20. If you like to fish, $60 or so will get you a nice spinning reel.

How about a camping pillow?

Camp chair. Been backpacking and BWCA'ing for 22 years. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate a chair with a backrest at the end of the day. WELL worth the 1lb!!

Buy a bug whacker for each tent. Be sure you do what it takes to deep them dry. No mess on inside tent walls and a whole lot easier than killing by hand.

1st choice would be camp chair like Helinox or similar.

2nd, would be a small packable table (especially if you fish). I like these in particular to clean fish while sitting in chair. MUCH more comfortable than kneeling on rocks and cleaning on ground.

3rd, I just purchased a couple Luci Lights, and did like them around camp at night.

4, Pocket Weather Radio? I use mine in BWCA and other wilderness areas. I've found it to be a handy thing to have.

Kitchen sink Sea to summit I thought this was a waste of space until I used one my friend brought. Great for washing dishes but also for hand and face washing and toting water to put out the fire.

I've had my Tilley hat fly off my head by a gust of wind when paddling across a lake. It floated while I turned the canoe to fetch it. A Tilley Hat with a modest brim width over those wider brims.
Weather Radio (shirt pocket size).
SS flask. (they don't hold odors)

Thanks for the suggestions. I already have a Helinox. Plus I already have a lucky hat I wear in the Boundary Waters. I went with a Waterproof phone bag so I can bring my phone. I’ve never brought it and want to take pictures and listen to music. I also got some new underwear called Saxx. I’m hoping my boys appreciate the luxurious pouch they get to sit in.
