I tried your youtube link and it says the video is private.

That sounds like a heck of a loop! Frost river and Zenith portage.

Great Trip! Lots of memories in that area, but only once over the Frost River.

Thanks for the report.

I enjoyed watching. We are headed to the Frost River later this summer so I liked seeing some views of the river and portages. Thanks.

Great! I'll be interested if you can find the portage b/w Pencil Lake and Frost river, or if anyone else has some clues.

Is it the portage out of Pencil that is marked incorrectly on maps, and is actually on the opposite side, or is that a different portage? I am looking for my notes.

Portage from Pencil to Frost river is to the left (south) of where it is marked on the Fisher map.

Ah! And I almost looked there, not sure why I didn't. Good to know, thanks!

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Interesting route.

Good video. I enjoyed the different camera viewpoints even though you were alone. The portages bring back memories of many similar portages. Not always good memories, but still made me a little homesick, for want of a better word. Succeeding against difficulties is part of the package.
