This hammock camper who goes by the alias "Shug" posted a video of a hiking/camping trip this spring. He doesn't post them usually but I think a lot of us will enjoy it.

That was an enjoyable way to start the day...with a steaming cup 'o joe. Thanks Tom T!

He is the reason we've gotten into hammock camping.

We love SHUG!

Sad he has retired from the State Fair, but glad he is still putting out videos!

He's the reason I got into hammock camping back in 2009. I was shocked too when he announced his retirement from entertaining at fairs. I think the old body is starting cause him some trouble. Also, what he does takes lots of practice time and maybe he has "been there, done that" and wants to do something new. I'm sure he'll still be putting out trip videos which I love.

This was a nice video with lots of nature scenes. It was enjoyable to watch. Thanks for posting the link.

I almost can't believe they went swimming at the end of May. Must have been brisk.

Have worked with Shug a few times over the years. He is a great entertainer and a really nice guy. More time now for him to enjoy the woods.

Wishing SHUG all the best in retirement! Seen him many time at the State Fair. I was one of those too 'sheepish' to approach him. He got me started in hammocks and learned so much. Love his videos! Thank you SHUG for all you have done for this community!
